Robot Restaurant in Tokyo [Video inside]

No comments :

You can't go to Tokyo without looking into the Robot Restaurant. While it can be touristy, the accepted place places on a show like no other. If you're in to the crazy, colorful, high-tech side of Japanese culture, you will love this.

Shinjuku’s Kabukicho District

Japan's most significant red light area, the Shinjuku's Kabukicho Region, is the accepted location to be at night. Don't allow the "red light" district idea put you off. This area is very friendly to feminine travelers.

There are tons of bars, clubs, and other local hangouts. Really, you can have a great night out just wandering around the Kabukicho District to take photos and do some people watching.

Reservations

You will have to make reservations. With regards to the season, there are 3 to 4 shows each day running from early on night to ten during the night.

You may make a booking on the restaurant's website until 5:00 p.m. on the entire day of the show. You are able to call after 5:00 also. While you book, you'll pay an access payment of 8,000 yen (around $70 USD).

You can also pay an extra 1,000 yen (around $9 USD) for a meal. Honestly, the food isn’t too impressive though, and it’s a bit pricey for what you get. Basically, it’s a bento box with an assortment of mini portions: dishes like tempura or nimono. Once inside, you can buy sake and beer during breaks in the show.

This means no sunglasses, “costumes,” or large wigs. So, it’s pretty easy to get ready for a night out there. Casual is good, but you won’t stick out if you do want to dress up. It’s important to note, however, that you can’t have any visible tattoos.

The Robot Restaurant Experience

Anthony Bourdain called the Robot Restaurant the "best show on earth." That person has seen more than a couple appears, so you know this is the genuine article.

When you touch base at the Robot Restaurant, you'll be welcomed by an amicable (English-talking) staff part. They will give you your seat number and afterward it's dependent upon you to choose to what extent you need to take to arrive.

The whole trip to the stage region is a blast of hues, sounds, and lights. I would very prescribe getting to the eatery early so you have a lot of times to find the stylistic theme and take photographs.

With respect to the show itself, it is continually changing, yet expect loads of lights, moving and, you got it, robots! Part of the way through, you'll get a light stick with the goal that you can participate. It truly is a unique ordeal thus much fun!

Only in Tokyo!
